Our goals

In partnership with women and men who share our vision we seek to:

  1. promote an understanding of the mission of the Church in the world;
  2. articulate our spirituality and commitment as members of religious institutes and to promote a positive image of religious;
  3. foster the education of young people in the life and mission of the Church through support of principals of congregational schools;
  4. actively promote Reconciliation;
  5. work for justice for all by our advocacy, especially for Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders, Australians who live in poverty, refugees and asylum seekers, those harshly treated before the law, and victims of racism and all forms of discrimination;
  6. raise our corporate voice to challenge the structures of injustice in our state, our country and the world;
  7. provide opportunities for our members and colleagues to expand both knowledge and understanding in all areas of religious life, ministry, environmental awareness and social justice;
  8. challenge the growth of selfishness, consumerism and isolationism in our society by our sharing of knowledge, expertise, experience and resources for the good of all.
